Pilgrimage Packing List
Comfort System
Hiking boots (broken-in, waterproof) – sturdy ankle support.
Sandals – optional for comfort shoes.
4 pairs of good trekking socks – mix of merino wool + quick-dry synthetic (you’ll rotate + wash if needed).
Sleeping bag (rated at least -10°C comfort, -15°C extreme) – crucial for nights in teahouses.
Sleeping bag liner (optional but nice) – adds warmth and keeps bag cleaner.
Layering System
2 warm down jackets – one heavier for night, one lighter for trekking/rest, and can fit over each other.
1 high-quality waterproof rain jacket (with hood) – essential for wind and weather conditions.
Thermal base layers (top + bottom) – at least 2 sets (one for trekking, one dry for sleeping).
Fleece or mid-layer jacket – warmth during active trekking.
Windbreaker / soft shell – optional, but useful if you prefer not to wear a down layer while moving.
Trekking Clothes
2 trekking pants / leggings – lightweight + flexible.
2 pairs shorts – for warmer daytime treks.
3–4 quick-dry T-shirts – breathable, moisture-wicking.
1–2 long-sleeve trekking shirts – for sun protection & layering.
Buff / neck gaiter – protects from dust, sun, and cold.
Wool hat + sun hat / cap – for night & day.
Light gloves + insulated gloves – one for trekking, one for nights at altitude.
Gear & Accessories
Trekking poles – huge help on steep descents.
Backpack (30–40L) – for daily trekking essentials.
Duffle bag / larger pack (60L) – if porters are carrying gear.
Headlamp + extra batteries – critical for early morning treks and power outages.
Water bottles (dual bottle–hot & cold recommended) or hydration bladder (2L min)
Purification tablets or uv filter recommended.
Sunglasses (UV + polarized) – high mountain sun is strong.
Sunscreen + lip balm (SPF 30–50).
Personal & Health
Travel insurance (covering up to 4,000m altitude).
Personal first-aid kit (pain relief, blister care, altitude meds if prescribed).
Wet wipes / hand sanitizer (showers limited in higher villages).
Toilet paper (often not provided).
Moisturizer / face oil – mountain air is dry.
Extras
Power bank – limited electricity in teahouses.
Camera / GoPro / phone with extra storage (we will have a photographer with us so you can stay present as well).

Clothing Strategy Recap
Daytime trekking: T-shirt + shorts/leggings, then add long-sleeve/fleece if cooler.
Evening/teahouse: Thermals + down jacket + warm socks.
